Honestly, there’s lots of smaller coworking spaces that you should research where you live! You’d be surprised with what you find :)

It was never a sustainable business. It was a dream. I'm glad that Uber and other services like it have finally found ways to be sustainable and not just subsidized by investors. Otherwise the same would happen to them.

Just got a notice from a WW I frequent in NYC – ownership is being transferred to Studio by Tishman Speyer. For this specific location, I don't think much will change. "WeWork All Access members will be able to continue to book through their WeWork memberships via the WeWork app."

My sense is they'll restructure and keep some offices open Bankruptcy will just transfer ownership from the shareholders to the debtholders They may liquidate all the assets if the business model was a complete farce from the start, but I doubt there are zero locations where this model makes sense

crazy, in Paris WeWork seemed like a super thriving business. Visited ~8-10 while there and they were almost always full. This will be an interesting transition. I’m betting they’ll or others will operate somehow.

As a non tech, non computer job person, it's hard to conceptualize what people do at places like WeWork that you couldn't do at home, in a hotel lobby or at a public library.

Isn’t it just office rentals? Why are they so broke? Even after the restructure?
