I registered my band's name as an ENS name and of course the rest of the group (despite being technically literate, just old) is utterly confused what the point is. To be fair we've yet to receive a single tip to our ENS via crypto (and yes I put it on our tip jar!). Seems Venmo is still the band tipping app of choice.

I hate ENS because it doesn’t work for L2s and non-evm chains. And many dapps don’t even have it integrated. I see no point in buying an ENS.

Why? After the Brantley fiasco, the signal at large is that large token holders and their racism/transphobia/sexism ~~~> equity/diversity/community Further, ENS needs to foster community outside of its token holders and DAO bro circles Lastly, Everyone wants “mass adoption” but doesn’t want to do the work
