Quidditch is remarkable for many reasons, one of which is the fact that it’s a mixed gender sport despite having a strong physical component. Are there any other examples of this in sports?

Yes but that has requirements around gender. I mean a sport that has no requirements or quotas, but teams choose to mix gender anyway because it increases their chances of winning
