honest question: what's up with this haircut? i can't imagine that "high and tight" skin fade is an intentional fashion choice. is there some medicinal or hair loss replacement reason for it?

it's the easiest facial thinning and flattering hairstyle for men. hides receding hairline allowing top hair to flop over norwood deficiency. popular 15 years ago (also 80 years ago but shhh.) good barbers can do this without doing the side buzz thing but like all things lack of modern skills.
