can someone explain the aella birthday thing? like what's the appeal generally? what about it appeals to men? or do they not like it? does it appeal to women? like would they want to do a birthday thing too? disclosure: i've only seen SF-based gen Z males posting about this so assume my baseline knowledge is zero

I support it on a meta level, kinda like how I support space exploration and setting up Mars bases but am totally not interested in going to Mars myself In modern lingo: one is e/acc for physics, the other is e/acc for social psychology

This is an accurate analogy imo and also hilarious because Aella banned anyone with an e/acc association from attending the event… additionally funny because it’s historically much more common for a puritanical audience to consider this very event as “hastening our doom”
