In my opinion, crypto game tokenomics could work but the game must first be genuinely fun and addictive, so that players want to engage regardless of any financial incentive. Once that foundation is established, you could introduce in-game currency (e.g., gems) for purchases. Under the hood, buying these gems would essentially involve purchasing a crypto token directly.
To account for price volatility, the conversion could be fixed for example, $5 always buys 100 gems, no matter the token's market price.
