I feel with Passkeys, there might be the widest proliferation of public keys. But my fear is, with a lack of cross-platform usage those have even stronger platform lock-in than a password. Now I can't use my passkey if I am not using my apple keychain on an apple device

This is insightful, thanks for sharing. I think it’ll be a combination of human-readable public keys + micro URLs that are also mostly human-readable + content composability (eg I can consume your url, fork it, remix its content, and publish to new url)
