My Facebook account just got disabled because of an Instagram account I have never heard of. In the process of trying to reclaim my account. From what I've read it won't be easy and that this is issue has been happening for years.

Never been more sure about the need for Farcaster. This year I can finally start playing a bigger role in bringing Hawaii onchain. More info about my new role soon. LFGO.

Lost access to my IG because of an old number associated with it, told FB via their recovery flow, but nothing so far

Have been able to whatsapp the current owner of the number, but they're basically trying to extort me to get my IG back (and I don't care enough to entertain it)

Yeah, I'm making peace with the idea that this might be the end. I don't think I'll be shedding any tears. I only check it once or twice a year anyway at this point.
