Bank of England consulation on a digital pound is basically modelled on Zooko's zcash (privacy preserving)

In the future I would much rather transact using a zcash digital pound, than say USDC

I believe that ZSA (shielded asset transfers) will be merged Zcash soon. This could enable shielded transfers of things like USDC or other stable coins. 👀 🛡️
