My hottest take is we don't need any more protocols written. The next frontier is finding novel combinations of existing protocols for good applications.

would you consider /revnet a new protocol or a novel combination of existing protocols?

disclaimer: I read revnet whitepaper iiiin spring of 2024? so its a bit hazy in terms of how it works specifically but 0. revnet been around for a minute, no? 1. remember it being a mix of both but with a lot of novel mechanisms 2. breakthroughs can equal technological (ZKPs) _or_ regulatory. I do think Revnets as one of the newer frontiers once regulatory clarity settles and we can think seriously about profit-bearing tokens. 2.1 would probs also add "viable onchain business" as another innovation that hasn't really been settled yet. number of viable businesses onchain are a handful, so I think you have to solve profitable first before you can settle on final form for business-profit bearing tokens. https://warpcast.com/zherring/0xa2203633
