Did you read the paper? I haven’t but it sure smells like clickbait. What does “nutritional standards” mean for a jar of sweet potatoes or apple sauce?

Europe has what is referred to as a nutrient and promotion profile model for infant and toddler foods - basically guidelines The US has no nutrition or promotional guidelines for infant and toddler foods - literally nothing So the study used the NPPM model from Europe, which has been rigorously studied and tested, and tested commercially available infant and toddler foods in the US against that framework US food on average is dogshit, so the results are not surprising
