Thomas Heatherwick, but imho his works are terrible

Kanye as well, yet he obvs has a team of accredited architects doing the grunt work for him

Damn, a very complicated question. Wonder if this happens in any other fields. 

My theory, we are absolutely horrible at articulating our value prop. Being famous brings in interesting clients with interesting budgets and so lots of talented people are willing to work for them…regardless of their credentials.
