People don’t want to see uninteresting replies and casts.

Best way to solve for that is weight historical inbound engagement for a user, i.e. PageRank-like score for every user.

Disproportionally hurts new accounts. Making it harder to get started.

Uninteresting replies are really only a problem for people who get a ton of replies. For people with small followings, which is most people here, I would imagine they would want to see ever reply unless it was just complete spam. I hate missing tips and casts from people that are hidden.

+1. Had a similar thought. There needs to be a fine balance between supporting established users and new users with little to no reach, otherwise the risk of new user churn is higher.
