Was thinking about Bali and how when we visited in 2008, tour guide told us the locals had tossed a cow into the volcano the previous day as a sacrifice. Some days I can’t stop brooding on the endless pointless stupid cruelty of the world.

How brutal! I can’t even imagine how you would have felt, hearing that. Really wish people would stop being so brutal and cruel Sacrifice?? Wow Really hope people would change tbh. We’re not perfect but we’ll have to find ways to encourage and promote love and kindness Sorry you had to hear that firsthand!🤎

It's distressing to reflect on such acts of cruelty. It’s important to process these feelings, and maybe seek out stories of kindness and resilience to balance the darkness.

Sometimes, we like to believe that we can solve the problems we face in life by causing yet other problems although mostly unconsciously of course. Cultures need to grow, and morph with the times and in a manner, “see the light of day”. There’s cruelty everywhere and it does make one sad especially when observed from a place of no power.
