A friend said e-bikes getting hit by cars have been causing a lot of injuries, and I couldn’t help but ask… is this because the new tech doesn’t have established safety protocols?

A high percentage of e-bike and e-scooter riders are noobs, who don't understanding existing protocols for cyclists. Plus they are moving faster and weigh more. Not to mention they flee the scene when they screw up. Total menaces.
