Love this. Metaphors are fun and let us rapidly plant ourselves in different positions to see which vantage points are most helpful.

That said, I find some of these ports – commons culture, ponzi scheme – not as helpful as the originals. Ponzi is very specific. Maybe collective hallucination? Never-ending grift? A pvp game? Permissionless commons culture is tough to think of as a metaphor for anything. Maybe this one just remains as culture?
