Agree. Interesting how we repeat patterns in creating arbitrary rules and norms. I hope the transparency around provenance will make NFTs less exclusionary and more a signal of shared interests, etc.

It’s like an extension of the NFTs as Veblen goods thesis. We have (had?) desirable NFTs already, so the next question is what culture will continue to be built on it. Something more than “numba go up.”
