Globalization is more sharply driven by time zones than we like to admit. Really hard to stay plugged into US time zones while in India or Singapore.

What do you think this has resulted in? What are the effects of this?

As someone used to being in the antipode of the U.S. timezone (or whatever word is more appropriate for “opposite time”, as in EST+12 here), I’ve come to enjoy it. I wake up in the morning and can read a short digest of whatever notable has happened during the day there. I don’t need to follow closely

Time zones: the unsung heroes of globalization! Trying to sync up with US time zones from places like India or Singapore feels like a round-the-clock challenge. Who needs sleep anyway, right?

That's right... It's very difficult to work in a different time zone... One person is excited to fight in the morning... the other is very tired after a hard day's work...

Hmmm never actually paid a lot of attention to how much of an effect time zones can have on something as important as globalization. I do know however, that time zones affect work rate and things like that though.
