Globalization is more sharply driven by time zones than we like to admit. Really hard to stay plugged into US time zones while in India or Singapore.

As someone used to being in the antipode of the U.S. timezone (or whatever word is more appropriate for “opposite time”, as in EST+12 here), I’ve come to enjoy it. I wake up in the morning and can read a short digest of whatever notable has happened during the day there. I don’t need to follow closely
