Anyone know of any systematic writing on design spaces? As in I give you a set of elements and you go explore what can be done with. Like a set of Lego blocks for example. Even just two identical 2x4 Lego blocks can connect in 24 different configurations if I counted right and the space explodes from there. So you how do you search to dus over or invent good ones.

Inferential strategy (abduction, deduction, induction) is a function of level of uncertainty. Abduction (plausibility based on coherence with prior experience) allows anticipation but not prediction. In complexity anticipation is most often the best there is. A positive for prefigurative protocols I suspect.
