If you're a consumer founder, can you tell me why this is a more engaging interaction than a spin-of-the-wheel? (They do the exact same thing under the hood)

I love everyone saying "the illusion of choice/agency". Did you know that there are YouTube tutorials on how strategies to win the best outcome? The other thing is putting the possible outcomes front and centre, in hierarchy. Most people can't "see" the choices in a wheel spin. Finally, people hate games they *can't* lose. You're aiming for the top prize... that is what makes you come back to this.

spin the wheel feels more random, you can't control where the wheel stops. this feels like you have control, you can pick the exact card you want, and thus the illusion of a better chance of winning

To someone else's point, the skeuomorphism makes you think you have agency. Most people don't consider how something like that might be built and the implications.
