When I worked at JPMorgan Chase early in my career, I learned how most of all money touched mainframes within the bank. 

Gigantic, centralized machines that require a specific engineering skillset (COBOL). 

And I thought… There has to be a better way to money.

Yep, I had the same experience. Sloppily cobbled together legacy systems costing 10s of millions (per bank) a year to run just so we can get T+1 settlement within a handful of countries.
