I feel like I’m not using copilot as much as I could be when writing code. Are there any good YouTube videos to learn from?

Honestly, install it. Learning curve is minimal to non-existent. But also, what a flex bro

Looks like the comments are saying this but I’d just recommend using Cursor To me the main benefit is using the sidebar chat to mention files/folders in your repo(as well as external docs from the web) to edit or create files — and I mainly just use it either to solve a specific bug or follow a pattern

you don't need a YT video: install Cursor and import VSCode settings and plugins open a piece of code you want to change highlight + Cmd+K ask for what you want to change for multifile changes: open chat sidebar ask a question and tag "@codebase"

Will talk up Cursor as much as the next caster, but if you ever wanted to run local/ custom models (which Cursor can't do yet) then I'd also recommend Zed https://zed.dev/ai

just cursor has better UI/UX nowadays tbh i like copilot for when using it inside github itself to ask stuff about repos etc, but not really on vscode (composer is really nice, and cursor is just a superior ux/ui for the generative llm code parts)

Came to recommend Cursor, staid for the comments absolutely thrashing on all other non-cursor tools. (I am interested in the first good open source alternative too fwiw)
