Warpcast now publishes locations set in user profiles to hubs as per the FIP below. If you set your location on Warpcast, expect it to get published to the farcaster network!

FIP: Locations in user profiles is now live on Hubs. You can publish location as an item in a user's profile. 

If you've made your location public on Warpcast previously, we'll publish it to the protocol as of today, so its available on other Farcaster apps.

there is an open FIP for adding it to casts

will location always be on a user profile level or will it be on a cast level in future?

you delegate the ability to sign casts to apps like warpcast. so we can take actions on your behalf even if you are offline.

how does "publish to the protocol" work from a centralized actor? i would've thought everyone would need to sign their own location

location as in city, country or GPS coordinates ?
