With Snapchain live, we're starting to think about what's next. Growth is our top priority the and most obvious roadblock is the "Pay $3" screen when signing up.

Why not add a guest mode? Let people sign up without paying, check out some posts, follow a few accounts, and even try posting once, it’s an easy way to let them get a feel for the network before deciding to pay @dwr.eth @ted

If the posts have to show up on other clients, then its a spam vector. What stops someone from creating a billion guest accounts? If the posts don't have to show up on other clients, then its a frustrating UX. I'm on recaster and I can't see warpcast "guest" accounts.

To prevent billions of guest accounts from being created, each guest account could be linked to a verified external account like twitter, github, etc. only once per external account ( Similar to phone number verification, where each account can only be connected to one unique number ) ofc, there are likely more robust technical solutions too Posting was just one of my suggestions for guest mode, my main point is that users should have a smoother, lower friction experience when first joining the network

Reminds me to ask: - can we create app name spaces with the signers? The message showing up in others clients requirement is soft imo & will diminish in importance over time. How a message should be used is something each app should signal to the other in a granular way. eg by app if not by cast - this message is intended for all apps - this message is part of app-A‘s state & is usable by app-b & app-c - this message isn’t intended for display Something like a certificate that can decrypt should you head that way Many interesting context-containers can be built using this. App-user-sessions would create a nice new surface area for creativity & lasting differentiation. It gets crazy good for AI agents & ui that utilize a type of Frame Navigator API will be insanely rich Musings here https://kmacb.eth.sucks/CBC350F3-9E9B-4726-92FE-9B7939275136/
