We're looking for feedback on this, either in this thread or on Github. We'll be discussing this at the next protocol meeting on Aug 15 before we make a final decision. This change should be net positive for users and developers.

What will the reduction look like exactly? Also I believe the balance between the 3 storage „sectors“ is off (at least for me, but also for everybody I talked to), reactions has always been my only reason to buy more storage… Would it be possible to reconsider this as well?

what's the main reason for preserving your old reactions? i usually just let mine expire, so im curious what people do with their older reactions

Now that I think of it, I actually have an application that would be really important to me. In the /the-library channel I often use replies as additions to my casts to present more content in a structured way, like threads (as do many others). It would be a shame to lose these. Maybe one could specify channels that are not affected by the expiration, if possible? But that sounds too complicated...

You've caught me out a bit, maybe I should give it some real thought 🤔 I saw the red negative and was afraid to loose my past. Sometimes I give quite good replies though 😅 Will reconsider my approach, now that you say it like that...thanks 🙏
