Tried watching the new Matrix movie on a flight, couldnt get 10 minutes in. The awkward dialog between the main characters trying to set up the plot was unbearable cringe. What happened to subtle world building?

made the mistake of watching it in the cinema when it came out and the only good thing about it was seeing the flashback scenes from the 1st on the big screen again

Apparently not even Wachowski’s, nor primary cast wanted to make it, so the studio said “we’ll make it with or without you”, and I guess the screenplay was decided to be a “fuck-you” to the studio because it’s just comically bad.
