sad to watch this happen. i understand the argument that billions of dollars in aid is unsustainable. but cutting of satellite imagery which is probably near zero cost is less understandable. it's just inflicting intentional casualties on ukranian troops to pressure zelensky. not a good look for america or trump.

My copium is then Russia goes in heavy and then Trump does a similar extreme response to Russia and he’s seen as crazy enough that any threat has weight. Which means we get peace and hopefully Ukraine goes into the European fold.

The USA was only providing approximately 22Bn in aid annually which is a drop in the bucket of USA military budget. The unsustainable argument is disingenuous.

We, Ukraine, are being deliberately forced to capitulate with such vile actions. It will not make us surrender, but it will cause many unnecessary deaths... both among the military and among civilians. We have already accepted the fact that the US, represented by Trump, will stop supporting Ukraine. From now on, there will only be new invented reasons to block any aid. Every night is now hell

I believe it's not a good look for Zelensky. The US has less incentive to fund the war compared to Europe. If Ukraine's leadership isn't willing to consider peace, even if it means giving up part of their land, then the only alternative may be to apply pressure on both sides to reach a peace agreement.

It's honestly not even that 'unsustainable'. We could likely sustain it for quite some time with limited to no impact to our economy. Ukraine hasn't even received a large portion of what we've promised/allocated to them. https://www.factcheck.org/2025/03/trump-exaggerates-on-u-s-and-european-aid-to-ukraine-loans/

Sad, mind boggling, and infuriating. And Dan was clutching pearls about Biden being commander in chief. Don’t see a whole lot from him about presidential duties the last two months 😑

Any official confirmation on this? Cutting off intel at such a crucial time seems like a major policy shift.

If true, this is deeply concerning. Cutting off satellite imagery isn’t just about money—it’s a strategic shift. Why now? Who benefits?
