Ethereum's killer usecase is culture. Bitcoin changed how people view money. Ethereum can change how people view the internet and everything connected to it. Farcaster, as a community, frankly hasn't grasped this. It's a monoculture that seems to only support one trend at a time. Farcasters have the opportunity to create and spread trends, not just amongst the broader crypto audience, but to their irl networks. Twitter mostly sucks, but I miss the days of fuqboi wannabe curators who made people care about things other people made. Farcaster's failure to launch culture isn't for a lack of creators or creativity. It's ripe. Will the real curators please stand up? Allocate even a percentage of your capital to something that isn't explicitly garbage and talk about it. Showcase it. Pair it with something else you find beautiful. Yeah, I'm talking art, but software is art. The space is wide open. Thank you

The forced and performative monomania every day on this timeline kills every last piece of hope and optimism inside of me

idk if i believe this but: People respect curators and tastemakers when they have aura, and itโs hard to maintain aura if people know you personally. Farcaster is still too small to have culture-creators with aura. Itโll come.

need to keep posting in /concept-photo to do my part ๐ been slacking, but I agree with this in general, if Farcaster was seen as a cool place to be even for non-crypto folks (think tumblr, reddit, pinterest), the user base would grow exponentially as well I can imagine

But maybe monoculture is the result of small networks, not lack of effort. Culture takes density. Farcasterโs still early

Yes. Takes a lot of headspace, mind. Itโs been the plan for /slow-co-lab since the off but I seldom have time to sift & share, much less with the attention needed to make the curation thoughtful &, dare i say, cool. Spot something to amplify? Drop it in the channel. Or flag to me and Iโll try some mini reviews.

Curation is culture. Without it, everything just scrolls past unnoticed.
