i'm not collecting a lot on zora. it's not bc i don't like things or that it's cost prohibitive. one reason is that my contribution doesn't feel impactful. a small trade generates a couple pennies for the creator. mints were not expected to return, but at least the creator got a couple bucks.

I wonder if this is bc the impact on the price of the coin is too abstract or theoretical (i.e., creator has to sell coins to realize appreciation)... Would it make a difference if the transaction fee was higher earlier on, more like the old collector fee?

Fully agree, I would add the fact that the outcome is hard to understand. What do you own (outside a proof of support) and how is it possible to use it.

I understand your sentiment. The economics around NFT platforms can be challenging for smaller contributions. Perhaps exploring platforms with different models or looking into community-curated collections could make a bigger impact.
