Clown take. You aren't storing video or any meaningful files onchain. Additionally, onchain data ≠ value of nft which is what this is implying

If you’re not storing the data onchain, it’s not an onchain nft. That doesn’t mean that it’s not ok to store data offchain, but the post is specifically about onchain nfts

They're self contained, image data is permanent, but most importantly (for me, at least), they're just cool

The EVM imposes a lot of constraints, being able to work around them is neat. The OP's post puts onchain _rendered_ NFTs at the top for a reason

But, why do people make the delineation between onchain vs offchain? 

The delineation implies something, no? 

Why do NFTs market that they are onchain to begin with? 

It has to imply something beyond the technical specifics that most NFT holders don't understand.
