Does sound even exist, though? Feels like bodies just overloaded a pressure sensor and decided to attribute a different sensory experience to it

Everything is vibrations. So it does exist in some way, but only if there is a sensory tool to perceive it as sound. 

If a tree falls in a forest when no one is around does it make a sound? 

Sound is for the creature perceiving it. 

Vibrations are the truth of the universe.

Couldn’t you say something similar about all our senses
