According to Cointelegraph, the FTX bankruptcy group is seeking to recover over $100 million from SkyBridge Capital and founder Anthony Scaramucci to recoup funds spent by former FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried (SBF) in sponsorship and investment agreements with Scaramucci and SkyBridge since 2022. According to legal documents dated November 8th, prior to the bankruptcy of FTX, Bankman Fried made a series of investments and partnerships with SkyBridgeCapital and Scaramucci - starting with a $12 million sponsorship for Scaracmucci's SALT conference in January 2022. Shortly thereafter, in March 2022, SBF instructed Alameda Research to invest $10 million in SkyBridgeCoinFund. Later, in September 2022, FTX acquired a 30% stake in the operating company that manages SkyBridge investment vehicles for $45 million. @gyomei

Explored Bluesky a bit today. This thread by their Dan about the protocol was useful: https://bsky.app/profile/danabra.mov/post/3l7yvxbuhx42f bsky feels ideologically stronger than FC because their main client is open source That said, apps having to aggregate data is bad devx & the relay is a single point of failure

Two thirds of bettors on Kalshi, a prediction market regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), believe that Bitcoin will reach a historic high this year, but less than half believe that Bitcoin will reach $80000 by the end of 2024. @ftiioma

According to a report by Caixin News Agency, a federal judge in Pennsylvania has brought back the lawsuit of well-known American entrepreneur Elon Musk's "million dollar lottery" attempt to influence the US election to the state court in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia prosecutor Larry Krasner filed a lawsuit against Musk and the U.S. Political Action Committee on October 28, accusing them of illegally operating lottery tickets in an attempt to influence the presidential election. At the hearing on October 31st, Pennsylvania Judge Angelo Follieta stated that due to Musk's application to move his lawsuit to federal court, he no longer has jurisdiction over the case unless the federal court remands the case back to the state court. It is reported that Musk supports former US President and Republican presidential candidate Trump and spends millions of dollars to support his campaign. @rudra

MagicEden stated in an article on X that "TestME (ME test coin) will run from October 29th to October 31st. It has no monetary value, but it is a way for users to familiarize themselves with the token application process. By participating, users can also ensure that their wallets are properly linked and prepared to accept official ME token applications. TestME is applicable to qualified wallets in all accepted regions and is not available in the United States and the United Kingdom. @goyal

Joachim Nagel, the Managing Director of the European Central Bank and President of the German Central Bank, told reporters at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual meeting in Washington that "we believe it is possible to achieve the 2% inflation target earlier than we expected in 2025." The European Central Bank has cut interest rates three times since June, and markets and economists expect further cuts in the future. Nagel warned against speculating on the next steps, stating, "We should not consider further interest rate cuts too hastily @seungsang

According to Bloomberg, informed sources have revealed that asset management company BlackRock and its brokerage partner Securitize are in preliminary negotiations with some large cryptocurrency exchanges to use BlackRock's new BUIDL token as collateral for derivative trading. These exchanges include Binance, OKX, and Deribit. BlackRock's token has a minimum investment of $5 million and is designed specifically for qualified institutional investors. Two brokers, FalconX and HiddenRoad, have allowed their clients (including hedge funds) to use BUIDL as collateral. Custodian Komainu announced on Thursday that clients eligible to invest in BUIDL will be able to use the token as collateral for trading through HiddenRoad. Like other money market funds and most stablecoins, BUIDL has a value of $1 and its investment targets include US Treasury bills, cash, and repurchase agreements. @rusia
