According to Bitcoin Treasuries, MicroStrategy has 1.2% of the total circulating supply of bitcoin on its books as of today, making it the most publicly traded company in the world to hold the most bitcoin, far outpacing bitcoin mining firms Marathon and Riot, as well as headline crypto trading platforms Coinbase and others that are more “crypto-native” on a business level.

On June 15, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a notice stating that Terraform Labs PTE, Ltd. and Do Kwon agreed to pay more than $4.5 billion in damages awarded as a result of a fraudulent scheme that lasted several years and involved crypto-asset securities, resulting in significant losses to investors when the scheme collapsed.
