Trump won the popular vote. The average American voter wants Trump as their President — which was not the case in 2016 or 2020. I was on the ground canvassing in PA. Spoiler alert: our middle class is not doing well. One of the last guys I talked to was holding a pizza box and almost teared up telling me he couldn’t afford pizza. True story, just happened last month. Our middle class is the backbone of America. Whether you care about the economy or just care about helping those that have less than you — you should want the middle class to do well! Listen to them, understand their problems, make their lives better. This is how America will continue to thrive. Democrats need to take a step back and re-evaluate their entire strategy and messaging. It’s all fucked.

While I agree the Dem’s messaging to the middle was a failure, how do you see these Americans faring in 6 months or 4 years under Trump’s economic policies?

The question is kind of part of the problem. It’s not that you’re incorrect in that Trump is worse. He is (mostly) but framing things this way actually works against anyone leftish People need something to vote FOR. The people who didn’t show up to vote and 3rd party do not see the marked difference you see. Harris did a terrible job differentiating. This is why we lost. Democrats have shifted so far right, not enough voters see a difference. I barely do

+1 this. The counter-factual to Trumpism isn't what's gonna win them over.
