Would be cool to have some sort of a fundraising escrow account that would release funds to a candidate when they publicly commit to meet certain conditions. Like refusing money from foreign governments and tech bros /someone-build

Hey @trish I do like that a lot. I have always wanted "let's put a bounty on cancer/illness/etc" and just make it happen. For OnChain Summer @rachelw and I built /halp it's a quick way to do onchain donations/raising with a lot more features coming. It probably can't CURRENTLY do fund, do work, release -- but if there's enough use-cases/demand we def could do that and keep it onchain and transparent. It's free if you wanted to try it but we did just do a big upgrade so there's still some dust i'm helping settle with the latest. Hope you're doing awesome! I also hope we can one day have people that just do great things and get rewarded without letting malicious things happen for money over people.
