We will host more contents in the future and look forward to the growth of the Tezos on-chain art community. For the winning teams, I will be in contact with the main entrant (contract deployer) to coordinate distribution of the prize.

The last collection thoughts before we announce the winners: Condition: 0 - Human Condition: A really delightful execution of the theme across a collaborative effort. The well-known story of every individual starting from nothing, progressing through life, in order to return back to nothing. Using the broad theme with each artist expressing a different stage of humanity, there is both a cohesiveness and uniqueness shared between each artwork. Stepping through the collection I am able to see how the artists viewed each decade of life, from zero to zero in each stage and from beginning to end. 0RIGIN: An interpretation on one of the oldest artistic themes – the human transition from nothing into something. Referencing old themes and old art, this collection expresses that humanity does not have a singular beginning. As society changes, our zero point restarts. From nothing to something. Until that something becomes the next nothing and we step into the next something of existence. All the more prescient as we are quickly approaching our next zero point. Any nonzero number to the power of 0 equals 1: Mathematically accurate and artistically significant. Thick with conceptualism, engagement of the theme is clearly visible yet this collection imposes the need for individual inference. The heady narrative across the collection directed my thoughts through a spectrum from vehemence to torment to mundane and around again. Even within singular artwork, I found myself questioning interpretation not knowing if I am being too aloof or too pretentious. Ultimately, perhaps no matter the state of my fluid observation, the end results will always be the same. b.l.o.c.k.s_o.n-c.h.a.i.n. : The continuity in this collection, from artist to artist, puts on display an impactful avenue for collaborative execution. A comprehensive aesthetic that each artist utilizes emphasizes deference of individualist style for the goal or unified impression. There is clearly a singular director, but also a very engaged and willful orchestra. Each individual piece is deeply personal to the artist as they share a commemoration for an important, and often forgotten or unknown, individual that shaped the society of the artist’s perception. Aesthetically pleasing and easily digestible, the collection brings a disarming joy to a topic that is clearly visceral and emotional. 1, 0, 100000: The concept of societal masks is a theme I have personally engaged with extensively in my philosophical and artistic investigations. Here, the idea that without masks we are nobody is well emphasized through the imagery. Referencing back to a novel by Luigi Pirandello, this collection takes the author’s ideas and extends them into a much larger void. I found the collection’s conclusion to be simultaneously playful and unfortunate, wherein under all these masks we are not in fact our true selves, but we are devoid of self. The masks, even though false expressions of personality, build our persona. We need the masks because without them we are nothing. zero cree T0V: I cannot express enough how wonderful it is to see this collection that emphasizes Cree language and culture. Digital artwork is very heavily tilted toward using the English language and incorporating a shared global culture. Bringing out into the open something more vernacular is refreshing and artistically fulfilling. With my lack of skill to read the Cree words used, the esoteric nature of the artwork titles and descriptions are looming. Even the English descriptions gave me pause mostly wondering instead of understanding. A mix of haunting cultural imagery and minimalist animation leaves me feeling deeply inadequate in my attempt to comprehend. This is one of those amazing elements of art. The ability to make me feel small, feel like an outsider, and that others out there know a lot more about somethings than I ever will. ProjectFOC: Looking through this collection feels as if I have entered its own existence. Encompassing the themes but not subservient to them. No director, no rulebook, just art for art. Not content to be just a singular collection, this is in essence its own gallery of artists showcasing their approach to the theme. Artists that have collaborated in order to build not a single story, but a collection of stories. Each artwork, each artist, becoming its own part in a compendium of everything that is nothing. My summaries are in no particular order. First up: 0km: One collection, Two colors, Five artists = Artistic eye candy. This collection makes me smile every time I go back to look at it. Beautifully executed, the artists took their individual styles and melded them into a cohesive aesthetic really emphasizing collaboration. The unified look builds a strong relationship between the artists but has not diminished their unique approach. The end result is visually striking, and the thematic choices strengthen the idea of collaboration in an artistic landscape. The winners of the Zero Contract Contest x Trilitech has been decided. The jury has come to a conclusion. The results will be announced this week. Before I do this, I want to take time to give my appreciation to each contest entry. I will be sharing my thoughts on each entry. The fantastic artists put so much thought and effort into their collections they deserve some thoughtful responses as well.

The @tezos Zero Contract Contest with Trilitech officially closed with 9 entries. The team took on the theme of Zero in a variety of ways and we see the gamut of approach to collaboration (from a team of 16 down to a team of 1). @ninaknaack @peekcell and I have a tall task ahead of us, but it is an exciting one. Today, May 8, 2025 is 9 months from the deployment of the original ZeroContract on August 8, 2024. We hit the 99th collection today. Begun out of necessity to mint my on-chain De Stijl Demons on @tezos, it has grown into something more. Something unexpected. And it's been amazing. 9 months | 99 Collections 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
