How do I migrate off of clouds while still enjoying my media? I am in the mood to do it all old school with my own manual backup Thinking about storing and viewing photos and music I can still enjoy without sharing data + notes, docs, spreadsheets etc I don’t need 90% of it and in the cloud and I’m sick of it all

Take a look at Plex. I swapped it for both photos & music and have been really enjoying it!

There are a few different apps in the Plex ecosystem. I’ve been using PlexAmp for music for about a month. I was able to point it at my old ~2010 itunes library and it all worked instantly (except playlists were lost). Putting the old library on shuffle has been fun and chaotic AF. One minute I’m rocking to Phil Collins and the next 2 Live Crew comes on. 🫠
