History

I’m one of the 5-15 and this stresses me out. 

People might not care now, but nobody knows how valuable a fully archived Farcaster will be.  Undoubtedly very valuable and possibly most to people who aren’t thinking of it. 

I’m pretty much in this space for watching history unfold.

If having global state on a single server is important, you get to choose two:

1. Long term storage
2. Censorship resistant
3. Cheap

2 and 3. People can build their own indexers to save their casts if they want. 

I don’t think what anyone is saying is THAT important right now and will change the world. Ready to be proven wrong 😊

Some of the coolest tidbits on history were super mundane things at the time. Always lecturing my kid to archive instead of deleting things

Sam think I’d the tech we’re talking about. Every day we’re making mental bets on what is going to be a big deal. It’s going to be so interesting in 5, 10, 20 years

I understand, I consider indexing providing future value, while being cheap and censorship resistant value now. 

Since we can’t know what future value holds, I would rather stick with the two options that provide value to me now.
