PSA for those going to ETH Denver: if you get a chance to meet and chat with @trigs while you're there, take it. I met him IRL for a leisurely project discussion over tea a couple of days ago after appreciating his deep-dive writings. (This was the first Farcaster meetup in Eugene, I think!) I got nerd-sniped by his principled and human-centered critiques of crypto norms, and left with a treasure trove of notes to ponder. Such a keen systems thinker β€” and a perceptive, attentive listener too. Quite a rare combo. Crypto needs more like him.

I'll be there, at least a day or two. I have a ticket and live about an hour away. But I also need to work, so I can't come there every day. But at least on Feb. 28 I'll be at the pizza party and I heard the Farcaster meetup was March 1 (Saturday).

Hope you two get a chance to meet! I don't do so well with conferences (I'm extremely introverted), but now that I know both of you will be there I'm definitely feeling a twinge of FOMO... lol. Have fun!

oh, I'm an introvert too and might only tolerate one event. The pizza thing is limited to 400 people. Holy crap, that's huge. But well, I didn't go last year and now I know more people who will be there and it's an hour away, so I thought I'd at least go to one thing.

"Low-key chill stuff" sounds good. If I actually went to the conference I might end up spending most of my time in the Zen Zone. Meditation cave, sound healing, bean bag chairs, relaxing music... just my speed. Yeah, hosting this event is the only thing that convinced me to go. I was a hard pass for all the same reasons! I love my home, it's my happy place! My introvert nature was thinking of every possible reason not to go, but I knew it would be worth it once I got here, and I don't have to leave my Airbnb the entire time if I don't want!! 🀣 Get the interesting ppl to come to me, that's my plan! πŸ˜†

"Get the interesting people to come to me." Yesss. That's how I think about my hospitality work too. I'm not much for traveling, but I really love hosting! In any case, it's nice to see that your Carrot Castle event will be focused on addressing the flaws of web3 grant funding. Hope it goes well.
