I honestly think that society was a whole over-indexes on charisma. 

I say this as someone who's always had access to more than average charisma and I dislike how much it can make ppl trust me. I know I'm trustworthy, but I also know my knowledge is incomplete. I DAO because I don't want ppl to just listen to me. I want to be one voice of many. I want to learn from others that have knowledge and experience I don't.

Anyone willing and eager to be an influencer, I immediately don't trust them. Populism is the greatest threat to decentralization due to this flaw in human nature to over-index on charisma.
