this incredibly disappointing response from a prominent fc dev on requesting tracking curated streaks rather than raw

at the core: 
are channels communities with taste (which inherently means uplifting some content and ignoring others) or are they simply content aggregators (hashtags)?

those of us working to build community beyond "buy my shit" are unsupported by the current meta and it'd be helpful to have the meta clarified. @cameron @jpren.eth @adrienne @ccarella.eth @nounishprof @benna @christin @toadyhawk.eth @matthew @ahn.eth 

If we're building in a direction that won't be supported, would like to know so i can stop caring so much. 

from the dev perspective: protocol should be unbiased yes, but app layer works best opinionated, & social layer even moreso. 

Pls give us tools to highlight folks doing the deal providing conversational liquidity and making the scenius. It shouldn't all be ranks and metrics to determine quality, that gets gamed. even merkle has heavy hand picking "best casters"

Is the problem with the community curation or w Warpcast? Seems it's three latter in this case..

If Warpcast won't make the streak function work like they need for their community because of a lack of curator control, they could stop using streaks and use impact instead, since impact enables the curator control they want.

im tired of seeing casts that are only "gm" "strike" and "f4f" in recent y'all

bc streaks incentive is currently "cast anything" not "cast on topic"

It's making a tweak to what gets counted as a streak to remove the incentive

Do you think disabling the streak and using a different form of curation<>reward could drive more high quality traffic without the perverse incentive?
