Good news for the people wanting to quit the American Big Tech products for European alternatives...

Our governments built something nice and it's open source. For now I'm trying the editor in the sandbox but planning to play around with local setup later :)

Open source code doesn't mean privacy preserving.

Not specifically this, but just in general. Plenty of open source products that harvest user data.

Yeah, I figured. Just is something been on my mind recently after a convo with someone how an open source product leaked a ton of user data awhile ago. 

OSS isn't a silver bullet for privacy! It's only as robust as the values of the community that's holding it accountable!

You’re right and the comment was tongue-in-cheek.

TBH France has not had the best record of preserving privacy lately
