My parents only praised me for academics and would say anything else I liked was a waste of time.  I hope to nurture whatever interests my kids have.

For me it's telling the truth
My mum always hid truths from us while growing up maybe because she didn't want us to feel hurt or to know about certain stuff for our own good but i probably wouldn't or at least I'll try not to do that to my kids  because those little things gurt me as a child

didn’t really give me a choice on some situations like religion
