ebaumsworld was wild. A friend showed it to me while we were hanging out at an Einstein Bagel (because people used to do that). It was the first real exposure to internet video-memes that I remember. 

I spent a lot of time going down rabbit holes via directories like Yahoo, Alta Vista, Lycos, etc. but don't remember specific sites I'd haunt.
