calling it now, years later when my kids have to go to therapy, they're definitely gonna blame dad (me) and his helping with math homework for every single problem they have in their lives 🤯

wife was on my case about how i was too tough on our daughter when helping her with her math hw

watched the wife get so frustrated while helping the kid with her music theory hw tonight and just felt so much satisfaction

am i a bad dad? 😆

Same thing with math (wife) & English (me) in our house. It was *brutal* in the past. 

Now, we still get frustrated but we walk away earlier, and come back after taking a beat.

Depends on my mood 😅

I’d say usually sit there & work on the task (or stare at it to figure it out) or something else they know how to do. Staring at it isn’t always a bad idea; they might come around to getting it on their own. Not sure how to explain it, but sometimes their brain didn’t “want” to understand it (frustration, stubbornness, etc) but they come around to it when it’s not being forced. 

Other times, it’s go for a walk around the house to work out the frustration.
