In a pinch I’d use a tooth brush.

But nothing beats a thick metal tongue scraper

I haven’t hearing “metal” rubs me off wrong
Like it could get me injured 
Just hearing plastic feels more like a safe bet

The pic looks like the part for scraping could actually injure my tongue cus it looks quite slim.. at least the plastic one was made with a shape similar to a tongue or something

Yes, and metal any day of the week.

With the metal one you need a lot less pressure. I’ve used one for almost everyday of my life, never once had a tongue related injury
