KE8ZNV is my call sign, I still need to test for my general, but I’ll likely not change my call sign when I do. But I would love to have a W8 call sign 

Testing is very easy and fun. At least for the technician (where I’m at right now, step 1) — HamStudy is a paid app that’s worth the money when it comes to preparing for the test. 

There is some overlap with truckers, but you’ll likely not find much of their radios and equipment here.

It’s a convention outside of Dayton held every year for amateur radio enthusiasts 

So you’ll see a lot of antennas and radios and all kinds of frequency related gadgets

Yes! Sometimes they help boost your signal and other times it’s the complete opposite and you can’t get as far. 

Our ionosphere is extremely overcharged right now to a point we’ve never seen in recorded history.  So a lot of what we are seeing, it’s a whole lot of guess work

this keeps tickling me for some reason…
