I realize this is a shill, but I selfishly want to see /1337 channel grow. Their discord is a treasure trove of culture, and I want to see that community and ones like it show off on this public square we call Farcaster. There's a lot to like. 1. It's hosted by a literal Harvard Professor and the guy who wrote the book on NFTs @skominers 2. It's a celebration of CC0 NFT, internet, and art culture with its own unique flair (aka Skullture) 3. It's a collective of Web3 developers, artists, traders, and enjoyooors with under the radar talent contributing a ton in their own right including @fr @51991.eth @fish @dragic @steveruns and many more. I think grassroots communities and permissionless creativity are the epitome of Web3 culture, and it should be celebrated. This is why I love /nouns and /loot so much. P.S. My current PFP is a 1337 Zero, whose art, like all their other projects, was collectively developed by members of their community. 100% onchain. 100% CC0. 0% Royalties. For the culture ✊️💀

i def feel similarly, but tbh it’s odd to refer folks to /1337 cuz to 99% of observers i’d imagine it seems like a pretty useless and spammy/gm channel. i always link to the manifesto as well 😅 the channel is def a very specific slice of the discord server culture and not one that reflects the full ethos and potential for impact of the group. there’s def potential imo to be more intentional of bringing more aspects of the server onto farcaster

I agree. I want to see improvement. The hidden gem of the channel, though, is the people and the channel.
