Gross but practical question: how do you keep your external keyboard / mouse clean? I've tried isopropyl wipes and it doesn't seem that effective. I have the same keyboard at work and at home but the one at home feels 100x nicer since I use it so much less. Is it a lost cause?

Personally, I change them every year and a half. It's always nicer to use a new one. And I either give away or sell the old ones.

Yeah this is unfortunately the reality of it unless you're dedicated enough to spend like 5-6 hours cleaning it up. Maybe it's a business idea for someone to do - but I can't imagine people would do without their keyboard for 2-3 days (although it would be nice)

I do basic cleaning, I vacuum between the keys, and also wipe with a special cloth
